Personalized Learning

Eastern Heights eagerly implements Personalized Learning instructional strategies as a tools to help close the achievement gap and for all students. We want all students to be actively engaged in our 21st century learning experience.

With personalized learning, students have control of their learning experiences by having more voice and choice, choosing what they want to focus on and how they want to interact with the learning materials.  Increased student engagement is also achieved through multiple collaboration opportunities with a team of teachers and their peers.

The relationship between the teacher and learner will include more individual check-ins and small group instruction. Classrooms are equipped with a variety of technology tools and resources that are easily accessible. Technology plays an important role in helping to implement personalized learning as it provides the resources, collaboration, and communication tools need to be succesful. In addition to digital tools and tailored instruction, the learning environment must also be conducive to helping students to stay enguaged in this Personalized Learning strategy.
