English Language Learner (ELL) program assists students whose first language at home is not English. Students are assisted in language development, particularly in listening and reading comprehension, and language production - speaking and writing.
Eastern Heights has two full-time ELL teachers. Mrs. Foroozan teaches 3rd through 6th graders. Mrs. Johnson teaches kindergarten through 2nd grade.
We have two bilingual educational assistants. Ms. Brianna Kendall works with Spanish speaking students and families every morning from 8:50 to 12 noon. Mr. Npla Kong works with Hmong students and families every afternoon.
