| Eastern Heights offers a variety of enrichment activities. Students, with their teacher's permission, can participate in additional arts activities, such as dance, musical theater, visual arts, choir and keyboards, or academic activities such as reading circles, chess club, science club, Lego League and Destination Imagination. Classes are taught by Michele DeLorme, Nina Englund, Barbara Farley,Teresa Kelly, Richard Spalding, and Donna Yu. Most of the activities meet weekly during the school day.
Students in third-sixth grade will also be enrolled in the online Renzulli Learning program, which enables students to pursue individualized research in a non-commercial online environment. For questions about the Renzulli registration please contact Barbara Farley at 651-293-8870 or barbara.farley@spps.org
Most enrichment activities are open to all students, however special preference is given to students who are identified as "gifted." All children in Kindergarten and 2nd grade are given the NNAT test in January. If a child passes with high marks they are identified at the district level as Gifted and Talented.
If you have further questions about gifted services please contact Teresa Kelly at 651-293-8870 or teresa.kelly@spps.org .
