Eastern Heights has received the Federal Early Reading First Grant!   This grant provides full day programing for three and four year old students and extensive staff development for the staff in early literacy.  Please call the SPPS Placement Office for the applications for the 08-09 school year at 651-632-3760 and to schedule your child's early childhood screening.  Applications are also available in the school office. Eastern Heights Receives the Minnesota Academic Excellence Foundation School Spotlight Award!! The Minnesota Academic Excellence Foundation (MAEF) advocates, promotes and recognizes academic excellence in all Minnesota elementary and secondary students, schools, and communities. Eastern Heights was awarded the 2007 MAEF School Spotlight Award in recognition of academic excellence and celebrate MAEF School Spotlight Award the success evidenced by their students’ achievements. The award shines a spotlight on a school’s curriculum, instruction, assessment, and staff development that addresses student needs and works toward success for all. Kindergarten Transition Workshop is Thursday, May 22 from 5:30-6:30. Peace Garden Dedication and Celebration is Friday, May 23 starting at 1:30.
