Parent Academy is designed to connect parents to the school and university communities, and connect parents directly to individuals at the school who make decisions and/or impact their child's educational experience. Parent Academy will empower parents to increase their skills and abilities to become active participants in their child's academic learning career.
Eastern Heights will be hosting two FREE parent seminars in February 2015. Child care & snacks are provided to families who attend the seminars. Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible to secure your place!

This seminar will provide parents with tips and strategies for being an effective advocate for their child's education in Saint Paul Public Schools. We will discuss one-on-one meetings, school-level leadership, and district opportunities for parent voice.

Topic: Dream, Plan & Achieve
The journey to college and career readiness begins in elementary school. Do we really need to begin thinking about post-secondary in elementary school? And what can parents do to support student readiness and exploration of post-secondary options? This seminar will help parents understand the tools and resources available to support college & career readiness.
