| BAND - INSTRUMENTAL |  | Mark Smith - Band Teacher. I have taught all levels of band (High School, Jr. High and Elementary) in St Paul, since 1983.
Band-Instrumental Instruction is available for 4-5-6 graders at Eastern Heights. I visit the classrooms in September and hand out band forms. There are a handful of school instruments which the students can choose from: flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet/cornet, trombone, baritone. Drums/percussion is available for 6th graders, and 5th graders if there are openings. Students meet with me, once a week for approximately 20-25 minutes of instruction. I work at Eastern Heights on Thursdays and Fridays. Those students who attain the necessary goals, will have the opportunity to perform at the Spring Concert, and other informal performances during the year.
