| | | | | Reading Charts | Your child receives a reading chart every Monday and is to bring it
home every night. Your child needs to read 20 minutes a night at least
five nights a week. It would be preferable, at this time of the year,
that you read with him/her at least five times. Please listen to your
child read and be prepared to ask him/her comprehension questions as
he/she reads. This will reinforce for your child the importance of
reading for understanding, not just decoding.
Please sign your
child's sheet each time he/she reads. Record the number of minutes completed. Please make sure your child returns the chart each Monday.
